Obituary of James E. Wilson Sr

James E. Wilson Sr., age 81, of Climax Springs, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his home in Climax Springs.

James was born July 26, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of James F. and Lavonne (Borden) Wilson.

On June 4, 1960, James was united in marriage to Karen Estess in Kansas City, Missouri. They shared 61 years together at the time of his passing.

James was a member of a Corvette Club. He was an avid woodcarver and a member of the Lake Ozark Wood Carvers Club.  He spent 42 years as a lithographer. James then retired to his Lake home. He loved his retirement years at the lake.  He loved his time spent with his family and was always willing to help his neighbors.

James is survived by his wife Karen Wilson of the home; son James E. Wilson Jr. and wife Wendy of Raymore, Missouri; daughter Karol Wilson and companion Rob of Versailles, Missouri; 26 grandchildren Jimmy Wilson and companion Astry and Kody Lagares and husband David; and 3 great-grandchildren Peyton, Carson, and Trenton.

James was preceded in death by his parents James F. and Lavonne Wilson; his sister Beverly Barrett; and brother Bob Wilson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at The View Community Center, 13500 Byars Rd., Grandview, Missouri 64030. A second memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at Climax Springs Community Center, 215 Climax Ave., Climax Springs, Missouri.
