Obituary of John R. Darrah

John R. Darrah, age 78, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Tuesday evening March 22, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri.

John was born July 30, 1943 in DeRidder, Louisiana, the son of Ambose “Babe” and Ferne Darrah.

John married Kathryn “Kate” Ade in Pana, Illinois on May 9, 1981. They shared 41 memorable years together.

John enjoyed boating, genealogy research, and spending time at the family farm in La Harpe, Illinois. He loved his retirement years at the Lake of the Ozarks.

John is survived by his wife Kate; son Mark of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter Kristen and her husband Jay Rupple of Boulder, Colorado; grandson Brandon Crane of Loveland, Colorado; sister Judy Hill; nephews Jeff and Heath Schoelkopf; and numerous special family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Society United Against Dementia of America.
