Obituary of Nancy Gilmer

Nancy Gilmer, age 94, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Arrowhead Senior Living Center, Osage Beach, Missouri.

Nancy was born May 6, 1927 in Clyde, North Dakota, the daughter of Clyde G. and Lulu Kingzett.

On May 15, 1960 in Moorhead, Minnesota, Nancy was united in marriage to William James Gilmer, who preceded her in death.

Nancy enjoyed her occupation as a public school teacher. She loved reading and quilting in her spare time, but most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and always encouraged her family to follow their heart.

Nancy is survived by her children; Lee Gilmer and wife, Linda, of Katy, Texas, Laurel Thomas and husband, James, of Edmund, Oklahoma, and Mary Lasley and husband, Larry, of Brumley, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tim Thomas and wife, Della, David Thomas and wife, Becky, Shannon Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Brian Gilmer and wife, Kira, Melanie Gilmer, and Natalie Lantz and husband Aaron; and seven great-grandchildren, Quinlan, Neve, Bailey, Grace, Coley, Tyler, and Keeley; along with several other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lulu Kingzett; her husband, James Gilmer; her daughter, Nadine Kay Boyd; and two sisters, Mary Bolstad and Patty Benno.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Osage Beach, Missouri.
