Obituary of Jacqueline Karen Emley

Jacqueline "Jackie" Karen Emley (Lauer) was born on May 29, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away surrounded by her family Thursday, March 24, 2022 at her daughter's Sunrise Beach home.

Jackie has lived in the Lake of the Ozarks area for 44 years. She worked hard as a longtime waitress at many iconic Lake of the Ozarks restaurants such as Tan Tar A, Happy Fisherman, Little Rizzos, HoJos, and the Potted Steer. She was a talented artist pouring her love into her many drawings and paintings. She loved playing the guitar and the banjo. She enjoyed knitting and quilting. She enjoyed making people laugh by spending time doing comedy bits for her family during younger days. She prayed daily for peace and happiness. She was kind, caring, generous and will be missed by many, especially her children and grandchildren. 

Jackie is survived by three children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a brother and sister, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, former husband John Emley and father of the three children. Now, left them behind to be with Jesus together.

         Damien Emley (son) wife Kelly and his three children (granddaughters) Ana Emley, Raylee Emley and (grandson) Simon Costner. 

         Chelsea Patty (daughter) husband Joe and her four children (granddaughter) Jenna Chaplain and her deceased daughter Jordyn Destenie Karen Sauls (great granddaughter was born April 15, 2019 passed away on Jan 14, 2020). JackiLyn Chaplain (granddaughter) and her two children (great grandchildren) Janessa Platt, Jagger Chaplain and also is expecting in August a baby boy.  Christian Emley (grandson) and Jasmine Chaplain (granddaughter).

         Lacy Lock (daughter) and her two children (granddaughter) Chloe Emley and (grandson) Adrean Ward. 

Jackie is survived by Ron Lauer (brother) and former wife Patricia Restivo Lauer and their three children Micheal, Aaron and Jessica Lauer. Patricia Marsh (sister) and husband Tony and their three children Casey Keith and her daughters Caitlin and Charlotte. Nicole Hildebrand husband Joshua and their children Tyler and Alexander. Nicholas Marsh and wife Lindsey.

Preceding Jackie in death, both parents Russel and Margaret Lauer. Brother Ken Lauer and brother NIck Lauer. Brother Nick is survived by three children Daniel, David and Edward Lauer. 

Celebration of Life Memorial and scattering of ashes to be held at Ha Ha Tonka post office pavilion in Lake of the Ozarks per request of Jackie on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Time TBD.
