Obituary of Samuel D. Frazier

Samuel D. “Sam” Frazier, age 77, of Gravios Mills, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at his home in Gravios Mills.

Sam was born October 1, 1944 in Kingsport, Tennessee, the son of Philip and Lillie (Jones) Frazier.

On January 27, 1963 in Pekin, Illinois, Sam was united in marriage to Barbara Shaw. Together they shared over 59 loving years as husband and wife.

Sam loved working in the carpentry business and was a master carpenter for over 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending his time playing tennis, watching formula 1 racing, and photography. Sam’s main love and joy was his family. He took pride in his family and always made them a priority. Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sam is survived by his loving wife Barbara of the home; his son Samuel D. Frazier II (Angela) of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughters Gwendolyn F. Reeves of Wentzville, Missouri and Michelle G. Randoloph (Mark) of O’Fallon, Missouri; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Philip H. Frazier; other relatives; and many friends.  

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or March of Dimes.
