Obituary of Ruben Dale Burns

Ruben Dale Burns went to be with his heavenly Father April 21, 2022 at the age of 71 years, 8 months. He was born August 1, 1951 in Camden County, Missouri. He was the son of Ruben Andrew Burns and Margorie Lee McGuire. On July 22, 1970, he was married to Linda Sue Ward at Linn Creek Baptist Church. Together they had one son Dale Dwane Burns.

Ruben (Dale) worked for Independent Stave Co. (Missouri Coop.) for 38 years and retired in the spring of 2021.

He loved fishing and hunting with his son Dwane and spending time with his family. He also loved music.

He and Ken Mullins and Ron Dabbs went around to nursing homes and hospitals singing and playing gospel music to help cheer people up. Ruben was a very talented musician.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Sue (Ward) Burns; his son Dale Dwane Burns; his parents Ruben and Margie McGuire Burns; one sister Brenda Burns Crain; one infant brother; and a step-father Roy Manly.

He is also survived by four half siblings Lester Manly, Deborah, Margie, and Beverly; plus several brother and sister in laws, with many relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.
