Dad, You are going to be missed so much! I remember when I was little and not feeling too well, you would rock me to sleep. I have so many memories that have been flooding my mind recently, they have brought me so much joy and comfort over the last week since you've been gone. I will always remember you teaching me how to drive when I was five years old, I wanted to go fast! I will always remember taking the curves and the hills too fast in your jeep. The look on your face when you saw your Grandson for the first time and telling him that you loved him. Making homemade ice cream. All the piggy back rides. I remember when I was little thinking that you were so strong! "My dad has muscles!" I wish there was more time, but there is a purpose to everything. I love you so much and I will miss you, there is a hole in my heart. Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.

There are so many memories that I had of Dad. I remember sleeping on the coffee table when he would fall asleep on the couch just to be by him. When I would get scared, I would sleep on the floor beside his side of the bed. Every valentine's day,.I would wake up and there would be a single flower and heart shaped box of chocolate. He would take me sleding, while pulling a car hood behind his pickup truck. Everytime I hear the song Seminole Wind, it makes me think of him! Every Christmas eve, when I was growing up, he would drive around and we would look up in the sky for "Rudolph's nose". I just wish we had more time with him, but God needed him more.
