Janie was a dear childhood friend. Her family lived down the road from my family. I have many memories of playing in the barn with Aunt Jemima the cow, swimming and cooking with Jamie and her mother. My deepest sympathies go out to the family. I will always hold those memories close. She recently found me on Facebook and we got to relive those memories. I will never forget that beautiful smile and kind soul.

I am so saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul. I met Janie in Sunday School at New Salem Baptist Church. We went all through grade school junior high and high school together. There isn't a church memory of mine that doesn't have her in it. Church gatherings for Sunday school at the Young house. I adored her and her family especially her sweet mama. I hope you have found peace in God's arms my dear friend.
