Obituary of Rufus Lloyd McAnally

Rufus Lloyd McAnally, 84, of Linn Creek, Missouri, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022, in his home.

He was the son of Rufus Lloyd McAnally, Sr. and Zula Mae (Scott) McAnally.

Lloyd, as he was known by many, was born October 12,1937 in Bolivar, Tennessee. On January 3, 1961, Lloyd was united in marriage to Nancy Street.  They shared 54 years of marriage at the time of her passing on March 16, 2015.

Lloyd joined the United States Navy in 1955, and was honorably discharged in 1958. Lloyd was employed many years as a sheet metal worker.  He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1997 and retired from Walmart, Osage Beach, in 2017.

Lloyd enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, and the occasional trips to the Casino.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Debra Owens, and husband, Junior, of Linn Creek, Missouri; his son, Dean McAnally, of the home, and his son, Robert Hicks Sr, and wife, Shirley (and family), of Brunswick, Georgia; grandchildren, David Lewis and significant other, Susan Witt, of Tuscumbia, Missouri, Joshua Lewis, and wife, Kayla , of Stoutland, Missouri, and Amanda Lewis, of the home; his great-grandchildren, Jordan Lewis, Amie Lewis, and Dylan Lewis, of Belton, Missouri, Cheyanne Lewis of Conway, South Carolina, Jacob Lewis, and Jimmy Lewis, of Stoutland, Missouri, Chelsea Lewis, and Ashlee Brumley, of Linn Creek, Missouri, Sydnie Kropf, of Otterville, Missouri, and Elliana Witt, of Tuscumbia, Missouri.  Lloyd is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Zula Mae McAnally; his wife, Nancy Street McAnally; and four sisters, Olene, Gladys, Margret, and Audrey.

Services will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
