Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Jackson
Mary Elizabeth Jackson, age 87, of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Moberly Regional Medical Center in Moberly, Missouri.
Mary was born into this world on March 14, 1935, in Knobel, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Dave and Ara (Harris) Collins.
On August 23, 1953, Mary was united in marriage to Doyan Burkhart in Knobel, Arkansas. They shared 26 years together until his passing in 1979. She married Rafel “Jack” Jackson in 1981 in St. Charles, Missouri. They shared over 20 years of marriage until his passing on November 3, 2000.
Mary worked for many years as an assembly line worker for Bussmann Fuse in St. Louis, Missouri. She loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, and quilting. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Camdenton, Missouri, was active in their church’s bible study, and loved cooking for the Awanas kids. Mary was a very kind and caring woman who touched many lives. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her granddaughter, Sarah Bowles; great-granddaughter, Olivia Bowles; niece, Debbie Dixon; great-nieces, Lisa Tacker, Tracy Wood, Stevie Hudson, and Taylor Fielder; great-nephew Russell Zierenberg; great-great-nieces, Trinity Nielson, Deanna Langone, and Christina Tacker, Harley Zierenberg; great-great-nephews, Tegan Nielsen, Thomas Wood, Charlie Tacker, Aaron Zierenberg, Eric Collins, Dustin Collins, and Dylan Collins.
Mary is preceded by her parents, Dave and Ara Collins; her first husband, Doyan Burkhart; her second husband, Rafel “Jack” Jackson; her stepdaughter Barbra Bowles; her brothers Dennis Collins and Jewel Collins; and her sisters Hazel Eaton and Willow Dean Crump; her nephew’s Ricky Crump, Nicki Crump, and David Collins; her great-great nephew, David Zierenberg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, at 10:30am at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. A visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, from 9:30am to 10:30am.
Interment will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 3:00pm at St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, Missouri.
