Obituary of Patricia Ann Rekowski

Patricia Ann Rekowski, born in St Louis, Missouri, January 17, 1953. “Patty” passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Pat was the daughter of William and Marie Ragan, the oldest of 4 children; sister to Eileen (John) Bagy, Scott (Kim) Ragan, and Greg Ragan.

Pat is survived by her husband Gary of 46 years; her two children Nicki Rekowski, Joe (Brooke) Rekowski and grandson Austin.

She lived for the summers. Before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1985, she and Gary spent their weekends on the Muddy Mississippi hopping sandbar to sandbar with fellow boat lovers. They raised their family at the lake, shuffling their kids to nightly sports, after school activities, and squeezing in countless evening ski sessions.

Pat worked at the Postal Data Center in St. Louis and then the Post Office in Eldon, MO where she retired after 35+ years.

Pat loved cooking, baking, sewing, swimming, and boating. She found joy in hosting friends and family for fun times at the lake and later in life at their house in Florida. She was constantly showing her love by making sure no one was ever hungry or thirsty. Retirement suited her well, Pat and Gary were always chasing the warm weather and being on the water to live in a constant state of summer. 

She will now live in the “constant summer” of heaven waiting patiently to be rejoined by those that love her so much.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, July 29, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:00-12:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of donor’s choosing.
