Obituary of Roger S. Rogers

Roger S. Rogers, age 63, of Roach, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his sister’s home in Montreal, Missouri.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Oras and Bertha (Hemphill) Rogers; brothers Charles Rogers, Ronnie Rogers, and Carl Rogers; and 5 sisters Jane Bruscher, Ilene Rogers, Delores Hutchsen, Colleen Smyth, and Shirley Yardley.

He is survived by his life partner of 15 years Dana Nash of Roach, Missouri; 4 sisters Norma Rogers and husband David McConnel of Macks Creek, Missouri, Bernice Wood and husband Junior Wood of Eldon, Missouri, Patsy Wyrick and husband Rusty Wyrick of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Bonnie Bachtel of Montreal, Missouri; 4 grandchildren Natalya Hilburn, Harmony Hilburn, Bentley Nash, and Bennett Nash; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Roger was born on October 16, 1958 in Roach, Missouri, where he made his home.

Roger loved the outdoors and spent most of his time in the garage with friends and family along with Tiny his dog. If you ever wanted to find him, look in his garage. He also enjoyed guns, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a loving brother and caring neighbor and friend. We will celebrate his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends from visitation from 5:30 – 6:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Roach Cemetery in Roach, Missouri.
