Obituary of Tammy Christine Cupp

Tammy Christine Cupp passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Eldon, Missouri on Sunday, July 24, 2022 after a three year battle with cancer. 

She was born to Leland Cupp Jr and Martha Cupp in Olathe, Kansas on September 18, 1958. Tammy grew up in the Kansas City area as part of a large family before moving to Edwards, Missouri in 1996.

Tammy worked as a cook in several local bars and restaurants. She loved to keep busy with gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, quilting, and crafting. She and her mother spent countless hours working together on quilts and sewing projects. She also enjoyed making day trips back to Olathe to visit family. Her love for celebrating special occasions and holidays, especially Christmas, made her an amazing gift giver. She liked trying new recipes and showing them off at family gatherings. She spent the last year of her life doting on her granddaughter, Athena. 

Tammy was lovingly known as the “cool aunt”. She provided a safe, loving and fun environment for the children she took under her wing. A woman of faith, she treated everyone with kindness. Her positive outlook and cheery personality will be missed by many.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Leland Cupp Jr; sister, Marty Medlin; and niece, Sherri Ackley.

She is survived by her mother, Martha Cupp; partner, Ernest Yates; daughter, Jeanna Booth; son-in-law, Nathan Booth; granddaughter, Athena Booth; brothers, Robert Cupp and Leland (Jon) Cupp; sisters, Cyndi Mader and Brenda Lavery; nephews, Mike Ackley, Cliff Cupp, Brian Cupp and Kyle Cupp; nieces, Tiffany Hayes, Michelle Jones, Nicole Adams-Cupp and Amber Burke; and various aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be no funeral or memorial services, in accordance with her wishes.
