Obituary of Dale B. Breuer

Please share a memory of Dale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dale B. Breuer, age 73, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Dale was born July 23, 1949 in North Dakota, the son of Bernard and Mary Ann (Pelzl) Breuer.

On September 30, 1972, Dale was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Dee” Schat in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They shared almost 50 years together at the time of his passing.

Dale was drafted and served valiantly in the Army during the Vietnam War as a military policeman on an Airforce Base in New Mexico.

Dale died with tremendous faith and courage!  He even prayed for all the doctors and nurses while they cared for him, not for himself but for them.  That is a testament to the wonderful man we all lost and loved so dearly.

Dale was a Godly man and wanted everyone to love and trust Jesus. He was known to us as “Honey.” Given to him when Noah, his first grandchild, yelled out Honey on the dock fishing.  Noah learned the name from Honey’s beautiful wife Dee.  Dee always called Dale, Honey, unless he was in trouble, then Dale.  You can only imagine the faces of the others on the dock when Honey ran to help Noah with his fish.

Honey was the most kind and selfless person you will ever meet. He loved his family deeply.  One of his favorite activities was talking to and spending time with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and watching the Packers and Badgers play.  Honey was a kind and gentle soul and took pride in serving others.  Hard working, selfless, caring for others, and loving Jesus describes him best!  Our children’s friends, our friends, and his family and friends have all poured out to us expressing the caring and generous impact he had on their lives.  Many thought of him as their Dad, Grandpa, and best friend!  We all need to “Bee” more like Honey!!!

Dale is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Dee” Schat; son Matt Breuer and wife Kelly of Linn Creek, Missouri; daughter Jackie Noll and husband Jason of Erlanger, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren Noah, Bella, Levi, Lukas, Lyla, and Brewer; brothers Sam Breuer and wife Helen of Richfield, Wisconsin and Don Breuer and Colleen of Fargo, North Dakota; and sisters Mary Lou Heitkamp and husband Paul of Wyndmere, North Dakota and Ruth Zaeske of Fargo, North Dakota.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Mary Ann Breuer and brother-in-law Tom Zaeske.

A memorial service and celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2 PM at Mt Carmel Baptist Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri.
