Obituary of Willard Stout

Willard “Willie” Stout, age 90, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his home in Camdenton.

Willie was born November 25, 1931, in Grove, Oklahoma.  He was the son of George and Alice (Ramsey) Stout.

He was united in marriage November 8, 1954, in Tonawanda, New York, to Helen Williams.  They shared over 67 years together as husband and wife at the time of his death.

Willie served his country proudly in the US Army, and following his honorable discharge, he pursued his life-long vocation in auto mechanics.  In his spare time, Willie loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening and tending to the farm.  He also loved travelling and listening to country music, especially Hank Snow. Willie had accumulated an impressive collection of Hank Snow Record Albums through the years.   More than anything, Willie enjoyed spending time with his family.

Willie is survived by his loving wife, Helen, of the home; his sons, David Stout, Sr. and significant other, Dawn McGuire, of Camdenton, Missouri and Ron Stout and wife, Debbie, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jeff Stout and wife, Shila, and Steven Stout; along with eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Stout; his grandson, David Stout, Jr. his brothers, John Stout and Milton Stout; and his sisters, Edith Richardson, Mary Jane Link, Juanita Davenport, and Armina Gandy.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, August 29, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.

Services with Full Military Honors will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hedges Cemetery.
