Vanessa E. Carnes, age 40, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Vanessa was born into this world on July 21, 1982, in Decatur, Illinois. She is the daughter of John Roger and Cindy Rae (Cuttil) Davis.

Vanessa loved animals. She worked as a dog groomer and really enjoyed her work. She also liked taking walks and playing on her phone, but there was nothing she enjoyed and loved more than her family. Vanessa was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Vanessa is survived by her mother, Cindy Rae Webb and husband, Kirt; four sons, Colten Libby, Cail Libby, Teagen Willcut, and Tailer Willcut; her daughter, RaeAnna Willcut; her granddaughter, Braelin; her brother Michael Davis (Tammy); her sister, Patricia May Davis; her stepsister, Nichole Coen (Travis); her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Carol Cuttill; her paternal grandparents, Ed and Carolyn Webb; along with several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and extended family members.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, John Roger Davis; her maternal grandmother, Alice Brandon; and her paternal grandparents, Patricia and James Davis.

Celebration of Life for Vanessa will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.

The family requests that memorials be made to Dogwood Animal Shelter in Vanessa’s name.
