Obituary of Rita Louise Moulder

Rita Louise Moulder, daughter of Marcus and Rita (Vick) Smith was born, March 2, 1948, in Odessa, Missouri.  She departed this life, September 23, 2022, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, six months, and twenty-one days of age.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Stark; and two siblings, William (Bill) Pendarvis, and Ruby Dell Watts.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Chester Moulder of Macks Creek, Missouri; three children, Keith Brown and wife, Leigh Ann, of Dahlonega, Georgia, Jennifer Stark of Camdenton, Missouri, and Chastity Rapier and husband David, of Camdenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Justin Reed, Cody Reed, Tyler Reed, Christopher Gronert, Alexa Rapier, Abigail Rapier, Madison Reckker, and Seth Reckker; brother Mike Smith and wife, Margo, of Eldon, Missouri, and sister Mary Farmer and husband, Bob, of Golden City, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives, including, her niece Donna Whittle, who she recently had become very close with, and many dear friends.  

She opened Moulder’s Produce stand in 2001, while helping her husband run Moulder’s Auto Sales, and then went to open her restaurant, Moulder’s Grill and Deli, in 2005 which introduced her to many close friends and major accomplishments. 

In her spare time, you would find Rita gardening, baking, relaxing on her porch watching the humming birds, or piecing together a puzzle. Her greatest joy was her grandkids; they filled her house with laughter and her walls with numerous memories. 

Rita will be best known as being a loving and dedicated mother. We celebrate her life as well as her accomplishments and we will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
