Obituary of Christopher Thomas Trout

Christopher Thomas Trout, age 26, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 along with his fiancé Jasmine Chaplain.  

Christopher was born June 17, 1996 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Christopher L. Trout and Candy (Gowler) Trout.

Christopher attended Camdenton schools from 5^th to 10^th grade. He graduated from Eldon High School in Eldon, Missouri. He previously was employed by Sun Rise Movers and currently worked at Missouri Furniture in Camdenton, Missouri. He was also IT certified through Staples. He had very strong bonds with his generational cousins “or Bro”. He and his 3 best friends Danielle, Trevor, and Brock built their own community. He trusted and loved many people and always said, “nobody’s a stranger.” He was very adventurous, curious, and goofy. He always wanted to explore. He was more in touch with nature, and oh boy his rock collection… Most people have a rock that he gave them at some point. If you do or did, that was his way of saying you were loved by him, his trademark.

Christopher is survived by his son Xavier Manley of Missouri; mother Candy Trout of Lake Ozark, Missouri; father Christopher L. Trout of Cameron, Illinois; brother Nicholas L. Gowler of Missouri; maternal grandparents David and JoAnn Dixon of Gales, Illinois; paternal grandmother Sharon Trout of Cameron, Illinois; his 3 nieces and 3 nephews who adored him Kailey, Ciara, Ashlyn, Alan, Haigen, and Andy; cousins; other family members; and many friends.

Christopher was preceded in death by his brother Staff Sergeant Anthony Lucas Gowler; maternal grandfather Jackie D. Gowler; and paternal grandfather Thomas Trout.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family would like to invite family and friends to join them for visitation on October 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton Missouri.
