Obituary of Anthony Lumia

Anthony (Tony) Lumia, age 93, of Village of Four Season, Lake Ozark, Missouri, previously of St. Louis, Missouri was called to heaven on Tuesday, November 14, 2022.

Anthony Lumia was born on July 13, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Frank and Antonina (Lena)(Mancuso) Lumia in St. Louis, Missouri.

 On September 4, 1954, Anthony (Tony) was united in marriage to the late Glorious (Gloria) Lumia in St. Louis, Missouri. They shared 67 wonderful years together. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His family shares many beautiful memories that will always remain in our hearts. 

Tony served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Anheuser Busch as a beer bottler in St. Louis, Missouri. Tony enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and being with his family. He also liked to help with cooking Italian foods and sharing them with the family. You could never leave without a to go bag when you went home. Tony was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in St. Louis, Missouri
where he was regularly seen ushering 5:00 mass on Saturday evenings.

Tony is survived by his three sons, Michael (Cindy) Lumia of Camdenton, Missouri, John (Brenda) Lumia of Panama City Beach, Florida and Daniel Lumia of Wentzville, Missouri. He is fondly known as Grandpa Tony to his grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Lumia, Bradley Lumia (Jessica Morelli), Toni Lumia (Stacy Hickman) and Grace Hickman. Anthony is known as Papa Tony to his great-grandchildren Chase and Nico Lumia. Tony is also survived by his sister Augustine (Stina) Smith and brother James Lumia.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Elizabeth (Liz) Passafume and brothers Thomas (Tom) Lumia, Sam Lumia, Joseph (Joe) Lumia, and John Lumia.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, St. Louis, Missouri.  The family welcomes friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to services at the church.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
