Obituary of Bonnie J. Canaday
Bonnie J. Canaday, age 80, of Climax Springs, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Bonnie was born on February 20, 1942, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of Edward Holmes and Lucina Patton.
On December 23, 1973, Bonnie was united in marriage to George Canaday. They spent over 44 years of marriage together at the time of George’s passing on August 18, 2018.
Bonnie spent her life working as a public-school teacher until her retirement. Bonnie loved music. She loved to sing and play the piano and listen to Christian music. She enjoyed attending Bible studies. She had a green thumb and loved to be outside in nature and gardening. Most of all she loved her family. She loved being with her grandchildren and going to watch them at their sports activities. Bonnie was a loving woman and will be greatly missed by many.
Bonnie is survived by her stepson David Canaday; her daughter Carolyn (Todd) Bennett; and her three grandchildren Austin, Aiden, and Evan Bennett.
Bonnie is preceded by her husband George Canaday; her parents Edward and Lucina Holmes; and her sisters Marjorie Miller and Dorothy Purintun.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Community Christian Church in Camdenton, Missouri.
