Obituary of Leland LeRoy Spores

Leland LeRoy Spores, age 79, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his home in Macks Creek.

Leland was born December 20, 1949, in Lansing, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Delores Spores.

Leland was united in marriage to Tamyra Mackey on May 2, 1988 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They shared 34 years of marriage until the time of his passing.

Leland loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Leland loved his hobby farm and taking care of his goats, chickens, and dogs. He also enjoyed taking care of his garden. Leland liked to spend time outdoors especially fishing and camping.

Leland is survived by his wife Tamyra Spores of the home; his son Jamison Spores and wife Amie of Waukee, Iowa; his daughter Kerry Solomon and husband Dan of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; his two grandchildren Mae and Will; his foster brother Jim Boyce and wife Sharon of Minnesota; his foster sister Mary Boyce of Albuquerque; New Mexico; and other relatives and friends.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Delores Spores; his sister Louise Spores; his brother John Spores; and foster parents Fred and Mardene Boyce.

Services will be held at a later date.
