Obituary of Dennis L. Swigert

Dennis L. Swigert, age 63, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away January 23, 2023, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Dennis was born December 16, 1959, in Springfield, Missouri. He was the son of Albert and Etta (Jones) Swigert.  

 

Dennis worked at many places in his lifetime. But he really enjoyed working at B&D Truck Port and Generation 3 before he was unfortunately hurt on the job and on disability.  

 

Dennis enjoyed fishing, riding around, and listening to his Rock & Roll. (Kiss was his favorite group). He also had many cats he loved during his lifetime and enjoyed having yearly yard sales.  

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Randy, Anthony,  and Stanley Swigert; and one sister Linda Poston.  

 

Dennis is survived by his longtime significant other, Jana Low of Lebanon, MO; his brother Gary Swigert of Alexandria, MN; two sisters, Rebecca Keen of St. Joseph, MO and Lisa Porter of Lebanon, MO; nieces Angela Velde, Kristina Velde-Stone, Stephanie Velde-Wieshaar, Kimberly Velde, Desiree Keen, Jalisa Porter, and Glenette Porter; nephews Glen Jr., Tommy Porter and Daniel Coffey, the son of his late sister Linda Poston, and many great nieces and nephews.
