Obituary of Irvin Ronald Anna

Irvin Ronald Anna, age 89 of Grovespring, Missouri, entered into Heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home.

Irvin was born January 14, 1934 in Belleville, Illinois. He was the son of Maurice and Elsie (Weber) Anna.

On September 17, 1960 in Renault, Illinois, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Karen Sue Easton, and together they shared over 58 years of love and laughter.

After high school, Irvin was drafted into the US Army and served for 6 years. He was stationed in Germany for 2 of those years, and 4 years in the Army Reserves. Following his honorable discharge in 1962, he worked at various jobs including Amuel Sauer Floor Covering Company in Smithton, Illinois,  Illinois Department of Corrections in Chester, Illinois, Peabody Coal Company in Marissa, Illinois, and lastly, his own floor covering business for many years, retiring in 2000.

Irvin was very active in his church, serving as a Deacon, Royal Rangers leader, Usher/Greeter and leading the kitchen hospitality team. He cooked for many special occasions including fund raisers, weddings and funeral dinners at the church. He also traveled with and cooked for missions trips to Mexico, New Mexico, South Dakota, Connecticut and California. Irvin was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and also enjoyed playing golf.

After retiring, Irvin and Karen moved to Grovespring, Missouri, where they made many friends in the community. He served as the President of the Grovespring Water Board, President of the Grovespring Senior Center and volunteered with the Grovespring Lions Club.

Irvin was a loving husband, father, and a wonderful grandfather and great grand father as well as a loyal friend and neighbor to those who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on in the lives of his family along with so many wonderful cherished memories.

Irvin is survived by his three sons Joseph Anna and wife Rachel of Hartland, Michigan, Timothy Anna and his wife Belinda of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Andrew Anna and his wife Michelle of Ponce De Leon, Missouri; three brothers, Howard Anna and wife Carol, of Belleville ,Illinois, Mark Anna and his wife Carol, of Lampe, Missouri, and Michael Anna of Enola, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Nic, Brittany, and Reece; and one great grandson Jamison; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives who will miss him dearly.

Irvin was preceded in death by his wife Karen; his parents Maurice and Elsie Anna; and 10 brothers, Ralph, Maurice, William, Kenneth, David, Harold, Charlie, Raymond, Jerry, and Danny; and three sisters, Judy, Doris and Ruth.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 12:00 pm, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:00-12:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow at Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Praying Hands Mausoleum, in Osage Beach, Missouri.
