Obituary of James Allen Hutzler

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

James Allen Hutzler was born on September 13, 1957, to LaVonne and Lloyd (Ike) Hutzler in Lakefield,
Minnesota.  He grew up in the Lakefield area and attended school in Lakefield, later graduating with
the class of 1975. James (Jim) drove a semi-truck over the road and pitted for sprint cars for many
years.  On January 31, 1981 he was united in marriage to Nancy Schultz in Lakefield. Jim went back
to school to receive his license to sell insurance. In 1985 they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks
where Jim sold real estate for Four Seasons. Jim also worked in the construction industry before he
and Nancy started their maid service in Lake Ozark.  In 1999, Jim and Nancy opened a bar in Iberia
while also running the maid service, eventually closing the bar in 2001 to expand the maid service to
include laundry services to what it is today.  James was self-employed until the time of his death.
From trapping muskrats to hunting deer and waterfowl, James had a long passion for hunting. He
hunted regularly in Minnesota as well as the Lake of the Ozarks. Jim had gone as far North as
Canada to hunt bear with his dad Ike as well as South Dakota and Wyoming to hunt mule deer. Jim
enjoyed his trips to the casino, watching football and spending time with his 7 grandchildren.
Jim was called to his eternal rest on Thursday evening, January 26, 2023, at his home in Eldon, at the
age of 65 after a long battle with multiple myeloma, cancer.

He is survived by his brother Mike Hutzler and wife, Cindy of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and sister
Deb Lohrenz of Lakefield, Minnesota; Son Nicholas, his wife Sara, and their 3 children, Claire, Nora, and
Parker; his daughter Crystal and her husband Jamie Karl, and their 4 children, Caitlyn, Mykela,
