Obituary of Finley Burke, Jr

Finley Burke Jr. age 49, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home in Eldon.

 

Finley was born December 2, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was the son of Finley Burke Sr and Olivia (Dixon) Burke.

 

Finley was a skilled carpenter and worked with construction crews around the lake area  for many years.  He was an avid sports fan who loved watching all types of sports, but also loved playing them as well.  He enjoyed camping and building bonfires for sitting around with family and friends, along with BBQ's and wrestling with his family.

 

Finley is survived by his mother,  Olivia (Dixon) Acosta; his daughters, Danielle Burke of Eldon, Missouri and Hailey Burke of Osage Beach, Missouri; along with three grandchildren, Delylah Simmons, Hazel Stokes, and Daylen Stokes.  He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Massey of St. Louis, Missouri, Kenneth Massey of Troy, Missouri,  Michael Fields of Camdenton, Missouri, and Frank Schulte of St. Louis, Missouri; his children's mother, Dena Shockley, of Eldon, Missouri; along with several other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Lucky's Bar on Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, Missouri.
