Shawn I. Reed, age 61, of Ulman, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at his home in Ulman.

Shawn was born November 11, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Lloyd and Juanita Reed.

On June 10, 2015, Shawn was united in marriage to Uma Fasang in Lake Ozark, Missouri. They shared 9 years together at the time of his passing.

Shawn enjoyed playing guitar and drums. He taught himself how to play guitar with a hearing disability. He was a good welder and enjoyed his work. He loved living on the farm in Ulman. Shawn fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer for 9 years. He loved his family and spending time with them. He loved his wife and son so much! He also loved his cat Sweety.     

Shawn is survived by his wife Uma Reed of the home; son Cory Reed of Clarksburg, Missouri; and sisters Kathy Green (Ron) of Montreal, Missouri, Teresa Barber of Kansas City, Missouri, Dena Ball (Charlie) of Gladstone, Missouri, Shelly Day (Danny) of Warsaw, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Juanita Reed; brothers Victor Reed, Edward Reed, and Kevin Whitton; and nephew James Hagston.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
