Obituary of Anna Lea Thornhill

Anna Lea (Wilson) Thornhill, age 89, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Anna was born February 7, 1934, in Stover, Missouri. She was the daughter of Porter and Ruby Wilson. She married Jackie Thornhill on January 26, 1952, and they shared 66 years of marriage.

Anna enjoyed many interests throughout her life. She loved arts and crafts, sewing, gardening, and cooking. She was a licensed hairdresser and a nurse assistant. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and being “Mimi” to all her grandkids and great grandkids. Anyone who knew her enjoyed her never-ending smiles and laughter, her witty personality and love of life. Humor and smiling were definitely her claim to fame.

Anna is survived by sons, Steve (Donna) of Foley, Missouri, Rick (Karen) of St. Charles, Missouri and daughter Sue (Terry) Blankenship of Osage Beach, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel, Zachary, Andrew, Stefanie, Leah, Lindsey, Emily, Tim, Kari; and twenty-two great-grandchildren; her sister, Tootsie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jackie; two sisters; and three brothers.

A small family service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 12:00 pm noon, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.

The family requests donations be made to Medical Missions for Christ in Camdenton, Missouri in lieu of flowers.
