Clonnie D. Hicks, son of Charles Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth (Willis, Eidson) Hicks was born September 24, 1929 on Dry Ridge near Macks Creek, Missouri. He departed this life at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on February 14, 2023.

He went to Dry Ridge School through 10th grade. In his young life, he traveled to Washington to pick fruit and worked odd jobs. Later, he joined the military and was sent to Panama where he patrolled the Panama Canal. After leaving the military, he went to work at Armco Steel, where he worked for 30 plus years. After retiring in 1978, he moved back to his home in Macks Creek where he lived until moving to assisted living.

Clonnie was preceded in death by his parents Charles Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth and all of his siblings William Ray Eidson, Charlie Edward Eidson, James Franklin Eidson, Lona May Eidson Ricker, Bonnie Ann Hicks McClannanan, Lonnie Franklin Hicks, Don Sherman Hicks, Jane Hicks Banning, Donie Pauline Hicks Johnson, Alice Everet Hicks, Myrtie Christeena Bradford, Ura Edwin Hicks, Orval E. Hicks, Iva Ovela Combs, Rossie Raymond Hicks, and William Roma Hicks.

Clonnie is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Macks Creek Cemetery in Macks Creek, Missouri.
