Obituary of Melanie M. Jensen

Melanie M. Jensen, age 59, passed away at her home, Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Melanie was born the daughter of Howard L. Wayland and Maria T. (Van Der Giesen) Wayland, on April 30, 1963 in Randolph County, Illinois.

On November 22, 2013, she was married to Arne A. Jensen Jr. in Bridal Cave, and they spent a total of fifteen plus years together.

Melanie worked hard, mostly as a stocker for Wal-Mart for well over twenty plus years.  She was a homemaker who loved crafts, gardening, fishing, and many other hobbies. Her favorite was riding motorcycles.  It didn’t matter if she was on her bike or on the back with her husband, she liked her knees in the breeze!  The only thing she loved more, was her Lord, her family, and all the friends and strangers she helped along her path of life.

She is survived by her husband, Arne Jensen Jr.; her mother, Maria Wayland; her brother, Merritt Wayland; her sisters, Marjorie Wayland and Martha; her sons, Meriah Buss, Matthew Buss, and Marcus Buss; her daughter, Maria Scariano; her step sons, Michael Randall, Brandon Jensen, and Arne Jensen III; her grandchildren, Kinsley Scariano, Tory, Bethany, and Lucas Williams, Leigha Karsyn and Brooklyn Jensen,  and Harper and Aria Jensen; several nieces and nephews; the Tree 197 Church family; and so many others who know they were loved by her.

Melanie was preceded in death by her father, Howard Wayland; her sister Melissa Wayland, and brother Murray Wayland.

Her final wishes were to die at home in her bed, be buried in the Jensen section of Laughlin Cemetery and dressed for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb…with hopes that all who knew her would come to know Jesus as their Savior!!!

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton, Missouri.
