Obituary of Jo Pat Scanlan

Jo Pat Scanlan “Jo Momma” passed away February 25, 2023,  at age 65, surrounded by family, after a 10-month battle with lymphoma.

Jo Pat was born March 14, 1957, in Oakland California, to parents Patricia Ann Ruby and Earl William Woodson Jr.

As a child, her family moved to the Kansas City area, where she lived until eventually moving to the Lake of The Ozarks with then husband Noel Scanlan.

Jo Pat was passionate about animal rescue and at one point ran a thrift store benefiting local animal shelters. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with family. She was also active in the community, participating in pool leagues, bowling and volunteer work.

She will forever be remembered in the love she gave and the laughs she shared.

Jo Pat was preceded in death by her father Bill Woodson.

She is survived by her mother Pat Schuermann; brothers Jerry, Jim, and Jason; children Arin, Sarah, and Ryan; grandchildren Mariah, Taylor, and Forrest; kitties Lebron and Maxwell; as well as numerous cherished family members.
