Obituary of Kenneth Orel Parker

Kenneth Orel Parker, was born on June 12, 1932 and after 90 years passed from this life and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, March 20, 2023. This was a day he had looked forward to for years.

Kenny was adopted by John and Mary Parker and was taught what it means to be responsible for your actions, how to work and respect others.

Kenny joined the Marine Corp and served in the Korean War and was very proud to be a Marine, and an American.

Kenny married his wife Velma on, April 2, 1956.  They spent 54 years together before her passing on September 30, 2010.

Kenny was proud to be a member of the Operating Engineers Local 513 and was recognized last year for being a member for 60 Years.

Kenny loved his church and served as song leader and Sunday School Director for years. The church became his family after the passing of his Velma.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Parker, a step-son Don Ray Williams, and his wife Velma.

Kenny is survived by a host of brothers and sisters in Christ, and many friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Macks Creek, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to services at the church.

Interment will be at Macks Creek Cemetery.
