Obituary of Benjamin Edward Jones
Benjamin (Ben) Edward Jones, 65, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Ben was born in Merced, California to John W. and Daisy Jones on February 18, 1958. He graduated from high school in Sarcoxie, Missouri in 1976. His father was in the Air Force, so he lived all over the world during his childhood having lived in many different countries and states. On July 2, 1976, he wed Anna D. Burris and they started a family right away having two daughters. He did believe in the Lord and was Baptized on September 25, 2005. He was skilled in many different things, was trained and certified in HVAC and had worked as a machinist and propane serviceman for many years before retiring in 2011.He was a very hard worker and very patriotic. His hobbies included woodworking, auto repair and he built the home he and his wife shared. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well as spending time with his wife and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his special little dog Millie. He had a group of friends he met with weekly at Camdenton McDonald's for coffee and conversation. For several years he was heavily involved in helping with The Ronald McDonald house charity.
Ben is survived by his wife Anna D. Jones ofCamdenton, Missouri; a brother, Stanley W. Jones and wife, Nadie, of Chesapeak , Virginia; daughter Amy L. Jones and her spouse, Robert Rhoads of Gravois Mills, Missouri; son in law Dave Crall of Kaiser, Missouri; granddaughters, Caitlin Ackerson of Eldon, Missouri, Laura Glover of Cuba, of Missouri and Faith Lynn of Gravois Mills, Missouri; as well as grandsons, William Jones of Kaiser, Missouri and Jarod Rhoads of Gravois Mills, Missouri; great grandchildren, Skyler Hunsucker, Travis Shipley and Horizon Ackerson; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents; his brother, John S. Jones; his daughter, Angela K. Crall; and his grandson, Travis W. Humphreys.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to various friends and family who have offered their condolences and comfort.
His wishes were to not have a funeral. The family will be having a small private memorial at a later date.
The family would like to thank Hedges Scott Funeral Home who handled all arrangements.
