Obituary of Erma Lee Byrd

Erma Lee (Jeffries) Byrd, age 78, of Brumley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, surrounded by her family at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri.

Erma was born July 19, 1944 in Iberia, Missouri to the late Virgil and Cecil Jeffries.  On February 16, 1961, she married Edgar Lee Byrd in Kaiser. 

Erma was a member of the Brumley Christian Church and the Brumley Lions Club.  She loved spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed her flower gardens and canning.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Edgar, and three children, Sandy Luttrell and husband, Rick, of Brumley, Missouri, Brenda Kissinger and husband, Bennie, of Iberia, Missouri, and Steve Byrd and wife, Tammy, of Eldon, Missouri; along with six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by one sister, Faye Burks; three brothers, Jerry Jeffries and wife, Erica, Dennis Jeffries and wife, Gayla, and Lester Jeffries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Laverne Jeffries, Donald Gene Jeffries, and Tim Jeffries; and four sisters, Louise Thorson, Lucille Hargis, Ruth Hargis-Schumate, and Nelda Varner.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm,  Friday, March 24, 2023 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.  The family will welcome friends for visitation from 12:00-2:00 pm, prior to services at the funeral home.
