Obituary of Shawn Michael Malone

Shawn Michael Malone, age 40, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Shawn was born on November 4, 1982, the son of Victor and the late Sherry Summers.

Shawn was born in North Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Macks Creek, Missouri with his family. He left school in 2002. He worked on the family farm along with several other local farms. Shawn loved being outside and loved doing farm work. He devoted many years to Tunas and Louisburg fire departments. He was a loving and caring person who would do anything and everything he could to help the ones he loved and cherished.

Shawn met Jolene Cadue on October 4, 2014, and they were married on June 16, 2017. They shared five wonderful years together. Shawn really loved Jolene.

In his spare time, Shawn loved to cook and watch truck and tractor pulls. He loved spending his time with his children, and his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed listening to music and being the DJ at parties and events. Shawn was loved deeply by family and friends.

He was a loving husband, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many who will forever cherish his memories and the time they spent with him.

Shawn is survived by his wife Jolene Malone of the home; his father Victor Summers of the home; his brother Jesse Summers, wife May, and their two children, of the home; brother Jeremy Summers and his partner Kristy Overbey and their four children of St. Roberts, Missouri; his three children, daughter Arizona Spicer and her husband Brandford Kirby and their two children of Linn Creek, Missouri; daughter Kindyl Spicer of Hiawatha, Kansas; and son Kyle Davis of Reserve, Kansas. He is survived by other siblings who reside out of state as well.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother Sherry Summers, his grandmother Herva (Judy) Winn, his grandfather J.D. Winn, and his uncle Roy Winn.

Services for Shawn will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00pm at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. A dinner will be held at Branch Assembly of God in Macks Creek, Missouri following the services.
