Obituary of Walter Lucian Prewitt Jr.

Walter Lucian Prewitt Jr, age 93, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Arrowhead Senior Living, in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Walter was born on October 9, 1929, in Camden County, Missouri. He was the son of Walter Lucian Prewitt Sr. and Reva Glea (Lupardus) Prewitt.

Walter served in the United States Army during the Korean war, entering in 1951 and being honorably discharged in 1953.

Walter worked for General Motors before moving back to the Lake Area where he was self-employed. He loved to travel and enjoyed many outdoor activities like golfing, fishing, and boating.

Walter is survived by his wife Kathy Prewitt; his three sons, Jerry Prewitt (Hollis), Gary Prewitt, and Terry Prewitt; his grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents Walter Lucian Prewitt Sr. and Reva Glea Prewitt; his late wife Goldie Prewitt; his two sisters, Helen Vernon and Maxine Costello; and one son, Barry Prewitt.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:00am at Gott Cemetery in Ulman, Missouri.
