Obituary of Richard D. Lyles

Richard D. Lyles, age 72, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Rich was born on December 27, 1950, in Sedalia, Missouri. He was the son of Davijean and William Lyles.

Rich graduated from Smith Cotton High School, Sedalia, Missouri in 1968. After high school he received his degrees in music education and then joined the United States Army and was active from 1973 to 1976. He was a teacher in Missouri for many years. After teaching, Rich went back to school and received his master’s degree in nursing science and pursued a career as a registered nurse until he reached retirement.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending his time at the golf course and living his best life on his farm.

Rich is survived by his beloved dog Radar; his two brothers, Larry Lyles (Sara) of Sedalia, Missouri and Steve Lyles of Kansas City, Missouri; his two sisters, Laura Cavin of Columbia, Missouri, and Kathy Collins (Gene) of Sedalia, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents Davijean and William Lyles.

Private services will be held at a later date.
