Obituary of Mary Jane Hunter

Mary Jane Hunter, age 75, formerly of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at her home in Lebanon, Missouri.

Mary was born June 20, 1947, in Scott County Missouri, the daughter of Paul Moss and Helen (Gibson) Moss.

She was united in marriage to Gilbert Hunter on December 8, 1983. 

Mary loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing and competing in Bar-B-Que competitions, where her and Gilbert won the American Royal in 1986. Upon retiring, she and Gilbert took a three-month trip to Alaska. Mary will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert, two sons: Randy and wife Christy Miller, Curtis and wife Missy Hunter, granddaughter Bayley Miller and grandson Tyler Miller, sister Debbie Larkin and husband Doug and brother Mark Moss and wife Teresa, in addition to many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Helen Moss

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 12 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 12:00pm until time of service.

A burial will be held following the services at Stanton Chapel in Macks Creek, Missouri.
