Please share a memory of Amy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Amy Lynn Gaddis-Kostuke, 50, of Lake Ozark Missouri departed life Sunday June 25, 2023, surround by friends and family. She was born October 14, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri. Amy had a zest for life and a strong-willed way of living. Anything Amy did was done with great passion and love. Countless times the statement has been made that Amy was “just like her mother”, she took these statements with a sense of pride and accomplishment. She was proud to be Jack and Dixie’s daughter and Angela’s sister. Amy loved her family, all of her fur babies over the years especially Koda Bear. She was continually surrounded by her family, her extra kids, great friends and loving neighbors. Spending nights and weekends on the back porch looking over the lake, on the dock or dancing in the kitchen with her music play list that was tailored to every occasion.

Amy excelled in many careers throughout her life. Early on she became a nurse, starting out right after high school working with a local physician that Amy always paid tribute to giving her a great start in life. Moving on throughout life Amy also found a passion for Real Estate and Construction. Greg and Amy built many beautiful homes together for the girls and themselves. They also built multiple other homes for many others. After moving to the lake, they transitioned their business into a local mitigation company that Greg and Amy also took great pride helping others in their time of loss. Throughout this time Amy also followed her passion for photography. Her and her girls Katie and Emily grew a photography business together. The girl’s passion for soccer was always captured by Amy and her camara. Amy always displayed perfectly captured moments she caught through her lens of Katie and Emily. Amy also captured multiple family members and friends’ pictures that will be hanging on many walls for a lifetime. Most recently Amy was proud of have officiated her niece, Bethany and Justin’s wedding, along with her friends, Don and Misti. Amy also worked with trouble youth, hoping to make a difference in their lives.

The Kostuke’s home was consistently a show case of Amy’s amazing decorating capabilities. Her love for giving was always displayed during the holidays, birthday or any given day. She had a well thought out gift for everyone. She would rather give than receive. Event planning was another strong point of Amy’s. If you had the pleasure of attending something Amy coordinated it was by far a very memorable experience. There are a countless number of lives Amy has touched and a story to go along with each one of them. Continue to hold those story’s close and share them often. Amy would like to share a quote that was one of her favorites. “Make your bed every morning, that way you have already accomplished something”. She did live by this daily and was saying this way before the book was written.

Amy leaves behind her daughters Katherine Grace Kostuke and Emily Hayden Kostuke, husband Greg Kostuke, Koda Bear her service dog. Her mother Dixie Gaddis, her sister and brother-in-law Angela and Chris Chronister. Her nephew and wife Josh and Ashley Hefner, their children Lizzie Jill, Zaylee Pearl and Jaxie Drinnen. Her niece and husband Bethany and Justin Dean, and many others on both sides of the family.

Amy was proceeded in death by her Father Jack Gaddis and her nephew Brandon Beckham. Both of these men held a huge spot in Amy's heart.
