Miss Geanie was one of the sweetest and most interesting women I’ve ever met. See had a great sense of humor and always looked as if she were the cat who ate the canary! I loved laughing with her. She will be missed at Big Coppitt First Baptist Church and her friends in Key West. She was big joy in a tiny package.

Geanie and I were Facebook friends and I always enjoyed her postings, especially about the lake area and its history. She will be missed. My condolences to Alan, Ann and the Blair-Roofener families at this time.

She was such an amazing woman. She always had such a wonderful mile on her face. You knew instantly that she loved the Lord with all her might. She will be missed by so many of us, but know that she is with the Lord and in her glory. God Bless the family and thank you for sharing her with the body of Christ.

Aunt Geanie was a treasure and matriarch of Seaside in Key West. She was so kind and sweet; and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. She got such a kick from having "hillbilly" barbques on her dock. We always had fun. I will miss Aunt Geanie and cherish all the cookbooks she left me, knowing I needed all the help she could give. It goes without saying that she's happy now. She went home to her Lord ... and Uncle Les.

"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!"

So very sorry for your loss, Mrs Blair was good friend to my Grandma Ruby Snyder and my grandma worked for her and Les for many years. I remember coming to work with grandma and Mrs Blair always giving me a piece of homemade fudge. Rest with the Angels you were a beautiful soul.

We loved Aunt Geanie and will never forget her and Les. Dan learned a lot about fishing in the Keys from Les and he also made and gave Dan a fish measuring device that he had devised so we were sure not to be keeping a fish under size! Aunt Geanie told me about and taught me how to cut the bloodline out of a fish without wasting much and we wouldn’t be eating fishy tasting fish! She also made the “Best KeyLime Pie” ever❣️ I will miss not seeing her in this life but I feel pretty sure she is now baking the KeyLime pies and preparing fish for her man “Les” and my man “Dan”
