Judith R. Britt, age 80, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Judy was born in Chicago, November 11, 1942. Her family moved to Oak Park in August of 1954 where Judy lived most of her life.

Judy received her license in Practical Nursing in November of 1976 and spent over 30 years working in hospitals and nursing homes at a job she loved.

She retired to live at Mills Park Tower in Oak Park where she spent the last 13 years, aquiring many, many wonderful friends which she enjoyed the company of for years.

Judy had many intrests including singing, participating in musical theater, all kinds of music, dancing, participating in activities at her church, an avid reader, and working crossword puzzles.

Her greatest assets were her laughter, love of people, and her faith.

Judith is survived by many family members who she loved dearly, including her sister Pamela P. Smith (David); brother Preston M. Peterson (Sue Ellen); nephews David S. Smith Jr., Michael K. Smith (Heather), Jeffery Peterson; niece Noelle Peterson; great nieces Ella J. and Ava L. Smith; cousins Scott R. Roane (Rae), Robin Boydston, and Roger Roane (Cathy).


Judith was preceded in death by her parents Carl A. and Bette A. Peterson; brother Richard K. Peterson; niece Carrie L. Kenney; brother-in-law Davd S. Smith Sr.; and cousin-in-law Gene Boydston.
 

A memorial will be held at Christ Church, 515 Franklin Ave, River Forest, Illinois, on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00a.m. followed by a reception downstairs in the church. All are welcome.
