Hans Heilke was 70 years old when he suddenly passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023.


He and his loving wife, Elizabeth (Liz), of 49 years, reside in the Four Seasons Community, at Lake of the Ozarks, in Missouri; where they decided to retire together for the past 6 years. They have made many wonderful relationships in the short time they have lived here.


Hans liked to be social and could befriend just about anyone.When he was able he liked to walk his dog, Lulu, which is how they have made many of their wonderful friends that they have today with the help of Lulu!


Hans also leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Ron Ehlers, who reside in their hometown of Peoria, Illinois.


Hans was born on April 29,1953 in Germany to Hans and Elfie Heilke and he was the younger brother to Ulrich (UIi) Heilke, who resides in California. When they came to the United States they lived on the southside of Peoria, Illinois, where Hans met his lifelong friend George Huber.


Hans graduated from Manual High School in 1971, married the love of his life, Liz, in 1974, they moved to Dixon, IL, where Hans got a job working for the State of IL. They had their daughter, Dawn, and moved back to Peoria, IL as Hans got a job working for Caterpillar starting out as a draftsman in 1979. He worked at CAT for 36 years and then finally retired in 2015.


Hans loved to watch all kinds of movies and play on his computer. He had a love of music as well and enjoyed going to concerts. But most of all he loved spending time with family and friends - By whom he will continue to be loved and missed very much!
