Obituary of Richard Wray Jones

Richard Wray (Rick) Jones, age 66, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 from a massive heart attack, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Richard was born on October 6, 1956 to Richard Neal & Patricia Ann (Buser) Jones. Richard grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1975. After graduation, Richard went on to earn an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts. Growing up he liked to ride his bike, play with his army men, or go fishing down at the creek. During his teen years he wrestled and ran track. As an adult, he played softball with some other members of his church, Lighthouse Temple, in Council Bluffs. He loved keeping active.

Richard worked as a Petroleum tank driver at SAPP Brothers in Omaha, Nebraska. He retired in September, 2020.

Richard married his loving wife, Nadine Freese (Cremonese) on July 18, 2020 at First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. October 1, 2020 Richard & Nadine moved from Papillion, Nebraska to Camdenton, Missouri (Lake of the Ozarks.) Richard loved his life. His favorite things to do were drawing, fishing, & kayaking. He also loved reading, feeding the birds, & talking to the various animals throughout his neighborhood. He also enjoyed dumpster diving. He was very proud of the various treasures he found, many of whom were very expensive looking. He found a lot of fishing poles and accessories.

Richard's Christian faith was very important to him. He was a very loving and compassionate man. He would give you the shirt off his back. He didn't look at the outside of a person, he only saw the inside. He never met a stranger. He would talk with people and find out what they needed. He wouldn't hesitate to give them time, money, or whatever else they needed.

Richard loved being a father and grandfather. His priority was his family. He was a very loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. Richard could be rather gruff at times, but his kids and grandkids knew, no matter what the circumstance, he would always be there for them. And, he was!

In addition to his wife, Nadine, Richard is survived by his mother, Patrician Ann Provine, his son, Christopher (Amy), and his daughter, Michelle (Greg). He is also survived by three grandsons, Jayden, Westin, and Dakota. Richard also had two sisters, Cathelyn and son Josh (Kristen) and Tami (Eldon) and sons Jeremy (Monique), and Daniel. He will also be missed by many relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard Neal Jones and his precious daughter, Rachel Ranee.
