Obituary of Jack Frederick Welsh
Jack Frederick Welsh was born on April 29, 1970 to John and Sandra Welsh of Camdenton, Missouri. Jack died unexpectedly at the age of 53 after falling ill. Jack is survived by his parents, his sister Jody (Don) Hall, his brother Jeff (Janelle) Welsh, one nephew Jackson Welsh, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jack lived at home for 22 years before moving to residential facilities in Moline, Illinois, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and eventually "retiring" to Tara Park in Moberly, Missouri. While Jack's intellectual disabilities prevented him from achieving many of the usual milestones in life, his life was, nonetheless, filled with love and laughter.
Jack adored his family and friends and was quick to share a smile with all those he met. He loved to spin frisbees and would happily toss a ball back and forth as long as someone was willing to play with him. He never missed an opportunity to go for a ride in the car and loved road trips that involved a stop for an iced tea or ice cream.
At the time of his death, Jack was a resident of Tara Park in Moberly, Missouri. Jack quickly formed a special bond with his fellow residents, Brandon and Dylan, and was surrounded with love and excellent one-on-one care from direct care staff Miss. Marian and Miss. Amy and from Miss. Susan, program supervisor, who advocated for Jack and always kept our family informed about his activities. We are forever grateful for the love and wonderful care Jack received at Tara Park.
Services in honor of Jack will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri at 4:00pm.
Memorial donations can be made to the Braun Home, 702 N. Morley, Moberly, Missouri, 65270.
