Obituary of Billie Jean Norton

Billie Jean Norton passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Good Sheperd Care Center in Versailles, MO, surrounded by family and good friends.

Jean was born on September 14, 1942, the daughter of William Art Lathrop and Dorothy Lee Cooper. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and was a graduate of North Kansas City High School, class of 1960. She moved to Wichita, KS where she enjoyed a career in sales with Time Electronics before moving back to Missouri. Jean became a long-time resident at the Lake of the Ozarks where she and her beloved dogs enjoyed lake views, cuddle time and romps in the back yard. She was an ardent computer games player and late-night TV watcher.

Jean was preceded in death by her two children, Philip Norton, and Stacey Norton. She leaves behind two brothers, Bob Lathrop and wife Gretchen of Kansas City, Missouri, Joel Campbell and wife Rita of Peer, Belgium and one sister, Donna Wood and husband Richard of Green Valley, Arizona and her good friends and care givers, Aaron Brownell and Dorothy Perez.
