Obituary of Dennis Eugene Zeiger
Dennis Eugene Zeiger, 74, of Sunrise Beach Missouri, passed away on September, 22nd after a battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Dennis was born on June 17th, 1949, to Robert and Florence Zeiger in Quincy Illinois. Dennis graduated from Havana Highschool in 1967.
After graduating highschool, Dennis was drafted to serve in the Army to Vietnam spring 1970. Dennis received multiple medals for his service including National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal - 2 Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal - 60 Device.
Dennis and Victoria Zeiger had three children including Brian E. Zeiger, Dennis M. Zeiger, and Sean J. Zeiger. Dennis and Victoria were divorced during 1995.
Dennis enjoyed crappie fishing and duck hunting. He spent many years fishing on Lake of the Ozarks near the 8-mile marker with friends and family.
Dennis was predeceased by his father, Robert Zeiger and his mother Florence Zeiger.
He is survived by his brothers Robert Zeiger, Terry Zeiger, and Kevin Zeiger, and his sister, Kimberly Zeiger. He is also survived by his sons Brian Zeiger, Dennis Zeiger, and Sean Zeiger.
Services were held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery on October 2nd at 2:00pm. Dennis's burial ceremony included Full Military Honors for his service in the Vietnam War.
