Obituary of Kenneth Anthony Baumgartner

Kenneth Anthony (Ken) Baumgartner, age 77, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Ken was born August 31, 1939 in Caseyville, Illinois.  He was the son of Eugene and Ruth (Wiesner) Baumgartner.

On December 10, 1960, Ken was united in marriage to Lydia (Lee) E. Mandleco.  Together they shared over 57 years of marriage at the time of his death.

Ken served his country proudly in the United States Navy.  After his honorable discharge, Ken worked as a maintenance supervisor with Whitmire Research Lab.  Ken and Lee retired to Lake of the Ozarks where Ken enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake and playing golf as often as he could.  Ken loved his family more than anything and treasured the times he spent with them.

Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend to all who knew him.

Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm,  Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri.
