Obituary of Darla Elaine Stewart

Darla Elaine Stewart, age 57, of Linn Creek, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her home.

Darla was born on November 9, 1960 in Versailles, Missouri. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Elaine (Odum) Thompson.

On February 13, 1993 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Darla was united in marriage to Ron Stewart. They shared 24 years of marriage at the time of her death.

She worked as a communication officer for the Lake Ozark Police Department for 5 years and for the Osage Beach Police Department for 20 years. Camping, watching movies, watching races on tv, and cooking for her family were things Darla greatly loved. She also enjoyed traveling and Niagara Falls became her favorite destination. Darla was a very loving and caring person. She enjoyed helping others in need, such as giving to the Candy Cane kids program and buying Christmas gifts for children.

Darla is survived by her husband Ron of the home; her son Eric Stewart and wife Nichole of Jefferson City, Missouri; her daughter Diana Tebo of Jefferson City, Missouri; her mother Elaine Thompson of Marion, Illinois; her brother Earl Thompson of Camdenton, Missouri; her brother Donnie Thompson of Yakima, Washington; her brother Danny Thompson of Salisbury, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brede Stewart and Isabella Stewart and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation at 2:00 p.m. prior to service at the Funeral Home.
