My mother is at Lakeside so we knew Nelda, very sweet lady and always friendly. I was sad to hear she is no longer with us. She is made whole again now. She will be missed greatly. Prayers for all of her loved ones and may God give you peace and comfort. G483d

After my freshman year of college, 1982, I arrived in Lake Ozark to work for the summer. I lived with Illinois neighbors in Horseshoe Bend and worked at Arrowhead Lodge. I met Nelda...at first I thought how can a stranger be so friendly, she invited me out to dinner, and so it began. Nelda, a single mother of three and a some what over privledged young adult. I learned more from her that summer than anyone could possibly understand. I didn't know it then but she taught me what it meant to be a good mother, to put your kids first. I never ever heard her complain about what she didn't have, only how great ful she was about what she did have. Not a day went by that she didn't step up to help someone. She loved her kids, she loved life and she loved her community. There is of course the fun we had that summer, luckily Nelda also was great friends with the local law, so we never ended up in the clink. Nelda will always hold a special place in my heart, I'm so blessed to have spent a few summers and vacations with her, til we meet again my darling friend, Love you Nelda!
