Oh the precious memories that have come flooding back as we traveled from Birmingham. I do not have to tell you of our wonderful childhood of playing "Miss". We were not Miss Barbara or Miss Brenda, but just Miss. We dressed up in dresses, hats and shoes that had belonged to Aunt Irene, Dad's sister, who died at age 29. We made doll houses from cardboard boxes and decorated them with cutouts from Sears, Roebuck Catalog along with cutouts for paper dolls. We played in the creek, in the barn loft and "canned" seeds and petals from the wild flowers using Mom's wood burning stove in the old log house where she did the weekly laundry. No fire was used, but we filled the oven with Mom's canning jars filled .We went to the "One room" country school, Hickory Grove School, walking the two miles to and from. When the school was consolidated into the Macks Creek School District we were separated by classes which was quite an adjustment. We did play in the school band and sang in the school chorus together. We were High School Cheerleaders and double dated with your Father, Eddie and his best friend, Carl Elliott. You probably know most of the rest of the story. I loved her and she was my "Side kick". My heart is heavy at her passing. My love to all of you, her greatest legacy.

Rest In Peace. Ant Barbra!
As well as my memory's of us playing music way back. In Mack's Creek Mo. With alot of kids running arround having fun. I remember how I use to think she was shy, but to find out she just had a Great respect and Love for the music and her kids. She made me feel Loved and Family. I wanted to be like her. What a beautiful voice and a God given talent for music. When I think of her I think of Love and Music.

I'm so sorry for your loss!! Growing up I spent a lot of time at your house with Connie(BFF) and the rest of you! I found Barbara very mysterious and classy! She was always very good to me. I'm sure she wanted to knock me a good one now and then since I was a bit of a handful. Lol
She spoke to me very soft and gentle which was so comforting. I miss the times we all had together and she will always have a warm place in my ❤️ as will all of you! Embrace the Good Times!! I'm so sorry I can't be there to comfort you through your pain! Love you All!!
