It’s a sad day for me, my friend;
The life of Geoff has come to an end . . .
He touched many more lives than we may know;
He had a heart of gold and white auric glow . . .
He taught me about peach tree;
And construction accounting . . .
He built places some called home;
While upon this earth he did roam . . .
Some thought him a follower, it’s true;
But that’s not the Geoff I loved and knew . . .
Often the first to take lead;
To new adventures with “Peppy” speed . . .
He could be seen upon his surfboard;
Or with guitar strumming a melodic chord . . .
He also was somewhat of a chef;
When he made his Wings à la Geoff . . .
That time he miffed some lakers in a cove;
When he made too many waves in that boat he drove . . .
Apologized with sincere regret;
“Just havin’ too much fun, please don’t fret” . . .
A tribute to Geoff has come too soon;
Heaven bound past the silvery moon . . .
Once again, you’ve taken the lead;
We’ll miss you, Geoff. Blessings and Godspeed.
